WHAT IS DENTAL CROWNS?

Dental crowns are typically completed over two appointments. At your first visit, dental crowns dentist in Keller team will prepare your tooth for its crown. We are going to create a short lived crown for you to wear while your final restoration is being completed at an area dental laboratory. Wearing your temporary crown gives you the chance to urge wont to the design and feel of your new tooth.


It typically takes 1 to 2 weeks for the laboratory to handcraft your final restoration. When it's completed, you'll return to Family Dentistry of Royal Oak to possess the crown permanently placed.


Once your crown is placed, you will be ready to eat and chew again with ease. Brushing and flossing around your crown also will be easy so you'll properly look after your new restoration.


It's important to not delay getting your dental crown once it's been diagnosed since cavity can progress and make its way into the pulp of your tooth where it could cause an infection.
